After-School Tutoring Program

At Logos Christian Academy, we are committed to supporting your child’s academic success through personalized after-school tutoring. Our program helps students strengthen their learning and address gaps that may hinder progress.

Tutoring Sessions:

½-hour sessions (3:00 – 3:30 pm): $8
1-hour sessions (3:00 – 4:00 pm): $15

Tutoring is available on a first-come, first-served basis due to limited room availability.

How to Sign Up:

Parents interested in enrolling their child for tutoring should fill out the Tutoring Session Request Form.

Cancellation Policy:

Tutors will notify you 24 hours in advance if they cannot attend a scheduled session.
Please extend the same courtesy and inform the tutor at least 24 hours in advance if your child cannot attend.
We ask that you avoid scheduling other after-school appointments on tutoring days.
Frequent cancellations may result in your child’s spot being reassigned.

Payment:

Payment is due to the tutor on the day of the tutoring session.

Tutor Guidelines:

All tutors must adhere to the following guidelines to maintain a high standard of tutoring quality:

Grade requirement: The tutor must be in 7th grade or higher.
Academic and behavioral expectations: The tutor must be an A or B student, with exemplary conduct, particularly in Christian behavior.
Coordinator approval: Tutors must receive the approval of the Tutoring Coordinator before they can begin.
Performance evaluation: Tutor performance is reviewed periodically. Continued participation in the tutoring program depends on the tutored student's progress and overall performance.
No phone use: Tutors must refrain from using their phones during sessions to focus fully on their students.
Parent and coordinator communication: Tutors must have the parent’s contact information and notify them at least 24 hours in advance if a session cannot be held. Tutors must also inform the Tutoring Coordinator of any missed sessions. Repeated absences may result in dismissal from the tutoring program.
Student safety: After each tutoring session, the tutor is responsible for ensuring the student is safely accompanied to their parent or aftercare.
